Installation Notes This file contains last minute information about installing Typestry. The most up to date information about using Typestry is in the "Read Me First" section of the Typestry help which will be displayed when you run Typestry for the first time after installation. Using Standard VGA Display Systems Typestry will function in a 16 color (standard VGA) display mode, but images on the screen will be unusable because of the limited number of colors. However images rendered to a file will be correct. Use at least a 256 color display mode when running Typestry if possible. Images will look even better when you use a display mode with 32 thousand or 16 million colors. See your display adapter documentation for more information about changing display modes for windows. Installing on a System Connected to a Network The Typestry installation program will attempt to write temporary files to a network drive in some cases. This will fail when the directory \WINDOWS\TEMP does not exist on the network drive. To fix this problem create the directory \WINDOWS\TEMP on the network drive the installer is trying to use, or turn off your network while installing Typestry.
